Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child's schooling. The impact that parents have on the success of their student is greater when they are involved in their child's learning. Not only does Ynez school offer parenting classes, parenting workshops, and family educational nights (Math Night, Literacy Night, Family Game Night, Spring International Fiesta, and much more), but it also prides itself in supporting families thru beyond school opportunities (College Conferences, Family Food Banks, Saturday School for grades 5-8th, among other opportunities). Additionally, opportunities are available through the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), the English Language Learners Advisory Council (ELAC) and the School Advisory Council (SAC). Volunteer opportunities are also available to parents including volunteering in the classroom and chaperoning field trips. Please see our School Community Coordinator, Ms. Lilia Leung, or any office staff member for more information. Together, we will ensure the success of our students!
